Here at Excel Auto Repair and Tire Service, we know that car axles play an extremely important role in performance, and we’re sure you do also. But were you aware that even slightly damaged car axles can be having an effect you are not aware of? Not only can it slightly affect performance, a damaged axle can also play a key role in the wear and tear of automotive shock or automotive strut parts with as the tire, other suspension components and even the transmission. Such an item is equal to brakes and tires when it comes to the safety of your vehicle.
Car axles are the key to a smoothly functioning suspension system. They connect to the wheels and bear most of the weight of your entire vehicle. They are also an integral part of the steering system and lend support from the car struts and car shocks. Given the opportunity for failure, they not only adversely affect your vehicle’s performance, a failing car axles can reduce the life cycle of all these components.
Today’s car axles are far more complex than a simple rod between two wheels. Often they are split into two halves and contain a complexity of components that takes an experienced mechanic such as the technicians here at Excel Auto and Tire Service. It can take years to develop the skills necessary to effectively conduct an analysis of such a system. We understand that, which is why we only employ ASE certified technicians to conduct our inspections. What would be the point in conducting an automotive shock and strut replacement without a firm understanding of the possibility of damage to the car axles? We don’t know, either. But it is a frequent occurrence. Sometimes, suspension car problems have even been found to be as simple as damage to the CV joint, which is a simple fix.
If you feel you are experiencing even the slightest of suspension problems, we urge you to bring your car to us, or at least any other ASE certified auto repair shop. As stewards of the automotive industry, we understand that it is simply unsafe to operate your vehicle when it is in need of automotive shock and automotive strut replacement, or any other suspension problem.
With all of that said, we hope you will consider taking your vehicle to a shop like ours if you feel it is in need of new car shocks and/or car struts. We particularly hope you will consider coming into our shop, which we know you can trust. We have three convenient locations in Minnesota: Eagan, MN, Rochester, MN and Spring Lake Park, MN area.
